COVID-19 Update for UNR Location

Regarding COVID-19 and Nevada Physical Therapy at UNR

To all of our valued patients and clients,

With the recent announcement by the University of Nevada-Reno to cancel in-person classes for the remainder of the school year, we wanted to update our patients and the community on Nevada Physical Therapy’s operational status.

As medical providers, we will continue to be open to new and existing patients as is the Family Medical Practice clinic we share space with and if you currently have an appointment scheduled, rest assured we will be here. The decision to close campus is a preemptive strategy to minimize large social gatherings, specifically 250 persons or more in close proximity and it should be stressed that this closure is not because of infected individuals but rather an attempt to minimize potential for exposures in large settings.

That being said, we do subscribe to the current CDC guidelines that recommend anyone that has traveled abroad to China, South Korea, Iran and Italy to self-quarantine for 14 days to reduce transmission risk. We also agree that anyone with current or recent fever, cough or difficulty breathing should not come into the clinic. We all must do our part to minimize risk and while we practice stringent hygiene protocols, we ask our patients to do the same.

We continue to be committed to helping our patients in need and we will continue to operate as usual although we may update this as the situation continues to develop. If you wish to cancel your appointment, please call us and during this time, all short-notice cancellation fees will be waived.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call and speak with us!
